Workforce Development in Central Bosnia Canton through the implementation of training for existing and new workers according to the programs and methods selected by the companies.

Description of implemented activities

REZ Agency managed the project “Workforce Development in CBC” by coordinating activities on workforce development in beneficiary companies. These activities were financed from the Retraining Fund, which in the absence of financial support to companies during the pandemic was a significant support for further growth and development.

The Retraining Fund enabled companies to organize training for existing and new workforce in order to respond to market demands in a quality and timely manner. Trainings were organized in accordance with the individual needs of each company and mainly in the company’s workspace.

This project supported the companies of Central Bosnia Canton in the organization of training of existing and new workforce in order to respond to market demands in a quality and timely manner. The project “Workforce Development in Central Bosnia Canton” has improved the capacities of small and medium enterprises, fast-growing, exporters and ready for export from the sector of metal, wood and textile industry. The trainings were organized in accordance with the expressed needs of each company and mostly in the companies workspace. In addition to their own, the companies also used external capacities by engagement of proven and specialized organizations to provide workforce training services.

A total of 6 companies of Central Bosnia Canton were supported through the joint project “Workforce Development in Central Bosnia Canton” in the total amount of 104,889 KM.

Achieved results

The following results are achieved through the realization of activities:

  • The number of realized trainings: 13 (CNC operators, operators on multi-spindle machines, process controllers, welders, upholsterers, tailors)
  • The number of trained workers: 58
  • The number of newly employed workers: 22
