COMETS II – For companies of wood-processing and forestry cluster in the Central BiH region

After a great success of the project COMETS – Competitive Market based Export and Trade Service, this project is proposed as the replication.

Overall objective

Promotion of entrepreneurship in Central BiH Region, with emphasis on the wood processing sector.

Specific objectives

1. Provide assistance to SMEs from wood processing sector in improving their export capacity.
2. Conduct market survey in order to find adequate foreign partners for selected companies.
3. Improve competitiveness of domestic companies in the foreign market and similar.

Achieved results

• In order to find suitable foreign partners for the companies selected by the project, extensive market research was conducted.
• Ten wood processing companies improved their promotional activities, export related image and established business cooperation with potential foreign partners.
• Project activities and consequent results in terms of improving the competitiveness of domestic wood processing enterprises on the foreign market – are similar to those of the project “COMETS – Competitive Market-based Export and Trade Service”.
